Liam was born on May 28, 1976. He spent most of his life as a kid in a little town in New Jersey called Weehawken. He took a liking to acting when he studied in high school at St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City, New Jersey. He later attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. After graduating, he started performing professionally in and around New York City.
It was until he did a production of the classic William Shakespeare play Romeo & Juliet in Cincinnati, Ohio that he, in his words, “fell down in Wonderland” through the help of a white rabbit in the form of fellow voice actor Crispin Freeman. Crispin saw a bit of spark within Liam and helped him audition for a voice over gig when he came back to New York. Fortunately enough, he got the gig. And more opportunities came to him to do voice over work since then. It’s kind of amazing, really, to see someone hit the ground running after a few gigs like that. Sometimes the world works in mysterious ways.
Depending on what animated series you’ve seen or what video game you’ve played, you probably have heard a character that Liam has voiced. If you have watched Naruto, you may have heard him voice Gaara. If you’ve played most Marvel videos or watched most Marvel animated series, you may know him as Doctor Strange. Liam has some range, but more often that not, the roles he plays are usually characters who are unhinged or have a tragic backstory. It’s such a 180 compared to how normal he looks.

A lot of people, especial fans of role playing games, are more aware of Liam’s role in the weekly role-playing show Critical Role. He has played a few characters in different campaigns throughout the series. You may be familiar with Vax’ildan Vessar, a half-elf rogue/druid/paladin. I’m not particular adept at talking about RPGs so I am not familiar with any of the terms used to describe Vax. Liam has portrayed many characters throughout the series, and he has taken the role of Dungeon Masters is a few one-off campaigns.
With regards to Liam’s personal life, he married fellow voice actor Amy Kincaid. They have two children and a dog. There’s not that many details regarding Liam’s net worth. Voice acting pay decently though it depends. It’s estimated that he has a net worth of about $500,000 or so.
Getting into voice acting is a really difficult thing. For the most part, your voice should be malleable enough to make the characters you play be distinct. It’s good to have a variety to the roles you can play, or the emotions that you can give to a character or a regular voice over gig. And because you use your voice a lot, it’s also very important to take care of your throat. Voice acting often takes a lot of time, especially if you’re part of a cast for a video game. There will be so many takes during recording sessions that will take hours on end. And you will be using so much of your voice for weeks.
